Created a somewhat interesting dapp called CoLib.

Based on the existing capabilities of Crossbell (which means that it is on the same chain as xlog data 😁), the product's functionality is very simple. It allows anyone to share content with others to help distribute good content to those who are more likely to enjoy it. There are plans to provide incentives for distribution in the future, as a way to explore the creator economy. In simple terms, it is a content community curation.

Currently, the demo only supports curation/sharing in Discord groups, but there are plans to expand to more platforms in the future.

The demo has just been tested internally for 3 days, so there should be a little bit of data on the chain that can be viewed. Here is a small portion of my own data, and feel free to follow this character 🫱 https://crossbell.io/@854a3f9ba649--854a3f9ba649-759d

There is also a beta web display at https://www.colib.app/ (we are seeking frontend engineers to help us).

Below is the product introduction v0.1:

Colib supports sharing/curating any internet content with the community. CoLib stores the parsed content on the chain. It also supports on-chain storage for discussions related to the content, aggregating them based on various dimensions such as content, community, and users. Your content should belong to you, no matter where it is published in the community.

The current MVP (Minimum Viable Product) has implemented the following features:

Curation: In community conversations, you can submit URLs and share recommendations for curated themes set by the community at any time (you can use the /ls command to view them).

Discussion: After successful curation, a dedicated discussion thread will be opened for the curated content, and the content in the thread will be synchronized to the blockchain for decentralized storage. The official version will also provide Discord verification and claiming, so that all the content you publish truly belongs to you.

View/Subscribe: After successful curation, the system will provide a link. The basic version provided by MVP allows access to all topics in the community and all curated content. The beta version also allows viewing of all data stored on the chain. Subscriptions and push notifications will be available in the future.

Colib's value:

Currently, it is still in the very early stages of the project, and many features are not yet fully developed. However, the recording and storage of online content can already be seen in its embryonic form. We believe that decentralized technology can bring something to this world, whether it is immutability and transparency, or the ability for even community discussions to be truly owned by individuals.

Many people have already realized the importance of information distribution. Web 2.0 uses algorithms to determine what you see, and the internet is filled with a large amount of false content that no one can fully discern. I want to record every piece of content and subject it to public scrutiny. It's okay if someone's content has mistakes, but if they maliciously publish false content, everyone can decide for themselves that they are not a trustworthy source of information. The ultimate power should belong to each individual. And those who want to build reputation can demonstrate their trustworthiness to the community through continuous accumulation.

Engineers are welcome to join the development of this open-source project. Perhaps we can participate in hackathons together, and more. https://github.com/nom-land. Feel free to discuss, collide, and join us in building and sharing achievements.

Thank you for your interest in participating in the beta testing. The beta testing records will also be recorded as contributions to CoLib. Probably something.
